June 2008 - March 2009 EVN Productions presented STAGE ONE, a monthly staged reading workshop series introducing new works from up-and-coming screenwriters and playwrights. The projects were performed by professional actors for fellow industry members in Hollywood. The dual goal of the series was both to bring together emerging artists (writers, actors & directors) and to champion great new written works. The writers selected for the STAGE ONE workshops not only had the benefit of hearing their works performed in front of an audience, but also, in some cases, had the opportunity to be considered for option by EVN Productions. There was a wine & cheese reception following each reading. |
