While writers should consider STAGE ONE an arena in which to workshop their latest projects, we ask that writers submit scripts they feel are polished enough to present to a friendly audience. Scripts should tell a complete story, meaning we do not wish to stage merely scenes or single acts of a play or screenplay. We do accept submissions of shorts that would lend themselves the staged reading format. Within the STAGE ONE series, there will be evenings of multiple shorts presented together.

The writers selected for the STAGE ONE workshops will not only have the benefit of hearing their works performed in front of an audience, but also, in some cases, have the opportunity to be considered for option by EVN Productions.

There will be a wine & cheese reception following each reading.

Application fee (per script): $10; $5 for students w/ valid ID. Please make checks payable to EVN Productions.
